More on the fostering.

The kittens continue to do well, getting stronger everyday. They are actually able to climb out of the box when they want. At night, I am covering the box with a towel, to deter the escape, but that will work for only a little while longer I'm sure.

They have bathed frequently, the first time to get rid of the obvious flea problem, and while I did not get many fleas off of them, I got tons of eggs. They slept for 5 hours afterwards so I'm sure they were feeling much better. Now, they just get dirty from not being litter trained and being messy when eating. We were able to skip a bath yesterday but one is impending today.

Our big boys (we have two cats, ages three and one) have taken it all in stride and our younger boy is quite curious about them and will rub on them when I am holding them. They very well could be cousins or even half siblings since he came from one of the ferals outside and did this litter, although his Mama has been fixed since shortly after his birth.

Teddy loves them and wants to help feed them (which we can't let him do), but is gentle with them, for the most part. :-) Sometimes he tries to pick them up around the neck and the only time he holds them is when one of us is sitting with him to prevent an accident. It has definitely been a teaching opportunity.
